Hi guys,

I'm new here. I'd like to ask if there is any possibility to set an alarm when price reaches given price? Normally, it works in trading tools as default option. I cannot find it anywhere in FT.

May you advise?

Hello,

we do not have alarms as a default option but you can develop the strategy which will pause testing at some time points according to the market conditions. We have Pause() and Resume() methods in the strategies API.

@ FT Support:

I looked in the docs for some function that would allow programming a sound or a popup alert-type box but I didn't find anything. Would this be possible through the built-in libraries in Delphi, and if so which functions or techniques would you suggest?

Hmm, please try standard Delphi functions like this one: http://www.delphibasics.co.uk/RTL.asp?Name=ShowMessage
but i recommend to add some restrictions to show this message only on the last bar because if you apply the indicator you may get a lot of messages.

Thanks, FT Support, and good warning about using only the last bar.

That reminds me of another thing I've been wondering about. Is there any way for an indicator to determine if it's being run in History Mode, Testing Mode, or Fast Test Mode? It could be useful to have the code work differently under these different conditions, so it would be nice to have a function to call to find out the operational mode.

For Strategies, of course, only Testing and Fast Test Modes would be applicable.

Thx.

B-

Please could this be implemented to give price alerts at specific levels. I test on multiple currency pairs and this would be a MASSIVE help.

Thanks!
