A buddy and I both have tester licenses. He had a session
open for several days, and each time we'd come back to it,
it would work fine. But just recently, when he attempted
to start the ticks moving again, he got an error message
which is simlar to a previous posted bug report:

'Can not start test, have error
Symbol list size differs from previous'

Your other thread mentioned you might be fixing this
in future versions, but with the latest v2.4, it's apparently
still an issue.

My buddy did not change anything, no new symbols, no
changes to data. He stopped and restarted the tester but
the same error came up each time. We found no way to
continue (other than probably to completely start from
scratch with a new project, data import and generate ticks).

Thanks,

Please open "SymbolInfo.dat" file from your project.

in this file you can see records like:

USDJPY
2010.02.22 16:51
2010.02.23 23:59

it means that you need to have ticks generated for USDJPY for 2010.02.22 16:51 - 2010.02.23 23:59 date range or wider.

so you need to check that you have ticks generated for all necessary currency pairs for proper date range.

Let me know if you still have problems with this.
