Hello,
There is no such options in built-in Forex Tester indicators. Do you have indicators with these parameters in MetaTrader 4 format? _________________ Check our other products here:

Hi
Thanks for letting me know.
Sorry, I do not know if it is available in Metatrader 4. I try to avoid Metatrader charts as they can be quite limited in some respects compared to proper charts packages.
Do you have plans to make the Forextester keltner bands fully configurable, as I can do in my Sierra Charts and other platforms?
I really love Forextester, but very much need to be able to configure my own Keltner settings. Being a programmer at one time, Ishould think it is only a very minor addition - is that correct?
Thanks for all your help! |

What I'm trying to ask is, will you enhance Forextester so that users can enter all their own parameters for keltner Channels?
It is a very minor programming change, but would be a very big enhancement, which will make the Keltners usable for all those who need to use different settings, and as I say I simply want to include in my testing different band multipliers, and also the ATR moving average types.
Thanks! |

Hello,
yes, maybe this is not very difficult from the programming point of view but there are many other features which we have to implement and if we do all small requests (like this one then some major features will be delayed).
If you have programming skills then it will not be difficult for you to implement the addition to the indicator. The source code of the indicator is located in "your FT\Examples\Indicators\Delphi\IndicatorsSrc" folder. If you cannot do that then you can ask forum members to help you.
There are many guys on this forum who can help you:

OK, thanks for the reply. I haven't time to learn how to program using this, even though I do have the general background.
What a shame that something like a simple Keltner doesn't work properly. I wouldn't be surprised if it was awful Metatrader as it's got many irritating features - or lack of features. But I really like Forextester, otherwise.
I'll consider asking others here, but in order to get started I will have to Sierra Charts trading simulator instead - which has all the normal indicators as well.
I do have a preference for FT, really, and it does have more data. But I'll probably just have to delve a bit deeper into my other simulator instead, and make do with 2-3 years data.
FT is great, but I hope you can iron out small things like that. And certainly not use MT4 as a measure. I thought I'd got away from that.
Thanks again. |
