Starting with Delphi 10.2

Hi, I am an auto-didact advanced amateur programmer, but with zero knowledge of Delphi.
Downloaded the standard and free IDE from Embarcadero Delphi 10.2.
It is stated elsewhere on the forum "you can use any Delphi" - but that is a years old comment.
Just want to make sure that is still true? (before I waste a lot of time)

Thanks!

I'd also like to know too. :)
I once spent some time using Delphi in the early 2000's and this is the fist time I've come across it in the wild.
I'd like to create a forex tester EA that will pause when a condition is hit such as RSI over 70, so I can run a test in fast forward and only have it stop when that condition is met, then takeover manually again.

Anyway, I'd like to see some API docs and code examples for Delphi.

Delphi is actually using object pascal. query that Wikipedia and you see some code examples. APIs are in a subfolder of FT on your disk. The embarcadero suite you can download for free. It includes a c++ and a delphi compiler.

But is leaves our main question still unanswered: can we use that Delphi version?

Hello,

Yes, you can use Embarcadero Delphi to create .dll scripts/indicators/experts and use them in the Forex Tester program.
