FT API compile DLL on Linux using a C++ cross-compiler or wine

Hi, this is my first post here.
I would like to ask if anyone was successful with cross-compiling C++ indicators/ea's on Linux or Mac OS or managed to get Visual c++ running under Wine and compile indicators?
I am under Ubuntu Linux 64 bit, Forex Tester 2 seems to run correctly using wine.
VM is not an option for me as I would have to buy Windows license just for that.
