Hi,

I am looking at learning how to create my own indicators and strategies to use in forextester.

I see that you support pascal and c++.

I have looked a lazarus ide and it looks quite nice and is free unlike delphi.

Going forward is pascal or c++ better to learn if I need help getting up and running in the forums and wish to ask questions.

Pascal has less learning books but there is a nice udemy course on pascal to get me up and running.

Just wanting to find out what the majority of the forextester community is using and which language is more likely to get replies if i post a question to problems i am having.

I have seen in the forums from several years back that pascal is meant to be easier is that still true today.

Thanks

Anthony

Hello

We recommend to use Delphi APi but you can also use C++ language if it fits your needs more.

Regarding the free delphi you can Google for Delphi7_Lite_Full_Setup_v7.3.3.0_Build_2009-6-22_.rar
This version should be ok for creating indicators and strategies.
Because there can be a problems with coding in Lazarus.
