Is there anything that can be done to increase the speed of generating ticks? In the past it has gone really fast however for some reason it takes over half an hour per pair.

Hello,
Maybe some of your data files were corrupted. Try to delete the data using “Clear” button and then download it from Data Center. Then try to re-generate ticks.
Also you can try to reinstall Forex Tester into another folder (like, C:\ForexTester2New), this can also resolve your problem.
