Data not rendering correctly

#1 Postby stockwet » Thu Oct 11, 2012 7:21 pm

Hi Guys,

I'm importing a data set and am finding that the bars are not quite reflecting the data. When I generate ticks, I am selecting the checkbox for "Use imported tick history" option. However, the 1m bars are not lining up the way that they should based on the data and the problem gets more pronounced as I move up to higher timeframes.

Here are some screenshots to help and a sample of the data is included. Take a look at the 9:42 bar as an example, but, you can see there are many other examples.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I was just wondering if any of the forextester team looked at this? Because I trade based on price action, the software is rendered unusable for me since bars are malformed. I've had to resort to (gasp!!) using NT's terrible market replay feature.

Hello,

Thank you for your notes.

Did you try importing data without the time zone change? sometimes this can move margin ticks from one minute bar to other one

Did you try generating ticks without "Use imported tick history" option? Actually this option should be used if only you have real tick data imported (for example from our VIP data service) but you import 1-minute data.

Yes. I have tried all of the above options. Feel free to test this yourself as I have included all the sample data.

It seems that some small inconsistencies appear when you are using data shifts only. Is it correct or I missed something?
