Frequent crashes

#1 Postby breakfastbar » Mon Nov 02, 2009 4:21 am

I've been using Forex Tester 2 for a couple of weeks now and it's been really helpful except for the frequent crashes. Is there any dependency or relationship between Forex Tester and Metatrader software? I notice that Forex Tester would frequently crash when I open or close Metatrader while Forex Tester is running. What's worse, the crash would sometimes damage the project to the point where I have to regenerate data for Testing Mode (i.e. completely wiping out my previous project).

The most annoying problem created by the crash is when the chart would freeze during Testing Mode, despite my instruction to step forward (e.g. by pressing space bar). I can see the Market Info numbers changing for other currencies, but no new bars/candles are drawn on the chart. The only way to fix this problem (that I know of) is to regenerate the test data.

I have Forex Tester 2 version 2.3.0 (13.09.2009) and MetaTrader version 4.00 from IBFX (build 223).

Hello Breakfastbar,

What operation system do you have?

And what is Forex Tester installation path?

It seems that your problems are connected with Vista's security
So please reinstall Forex Tester to "C:\Forex Tester 2"
