FT3 csv history data import problem

#1 Postby zlabis » Thu Sep 29, 2016 6:41 am

Hi guys,
I've run into a problem when trying to import history data from a MT4/5-style csv-file.

In contrast to FT2, FT3 has problems by interpreting the date-format correctly. in FT3 the dots between DD MM and YYYY are not interpreted correctly, whereas FT2 can accomplish this without problems.

I need this issue fixed otherwise I cannot use FT3 seriousely for backtesting with my broker data.

Thanks
Michael

Hello,

Yes, we know about the issue with importing csv data from MT4 into the Forex Tester 3 program, our programmers will fix it soon.

For now I can recommend you to import the .hst file into the Forex Tester 3, this will help.
Please select the “Metatrader new history format” option when selecting the .hst file

If you want to import the .csv then for now I can only recommend you to import the file into the Forex Tester 2, then export these data into a text file and then import this file into the Forex Tester 3.

Hi,
thanks for this important information. I'm happy to read that this csv-import issue is on your list to be solved. Looking foreward to the new FT3 build.

Cheers
Michael
