trade several pairs at once

#1 Postby Chris » Thu May 26, 2011 5:18 pm

I would like the ability to trade several pairs at once,
or atleast 2 pairs,
this would be great for testing hedging strategies

Hello,

You can do it in Forex Tester 2. You just need to generate ticks for 2 pairs, see more details here: http://forextester.com/ticks.html

ok, in this case you need to:

1) Open Data Center
2) Add usdchf symbol
3) import data (http://forextester.com/import.html)
4) re-generate ticks (http://forextester.com/ticks.html) in "generate ticks" dialog check both symbols.

Hello Chris,

Does EURUSD chart disappear in History Mode or in Testing Mode?

If it disappeared in Testing Mode only then please re-generate ticks and check both pairs in "generate ticks" dialog like it is shown on the screenshot.

I did exactly what you describe in the pic,
when I am in testing mode I see both charts, EUR/USD and USD/CHF
but only data (bars) in EUR/USD.
when I go back and generate tick again as you described here and then again go back to testing mode,
it's still the same, I only see bars in the EUR/USD chart, and the USD/CHF is empty.
if I go back to history mode from testing mode I don't see the USD/CHF chart. I did as in the pic several times.
it's wierd it doesnt work for me?
I have win xp pro sp3
I have some screenshots so you can se exactly what I do and in what order,
sorry for the big size, I will delete the pics after you viewed it.

this is the first step,
please tell me if I do something wrong.

same problem

#19 Postby Marxx » Sun Jan 15, 2012 11:21 am

Hi, seems like I have a similar problem as Chris.

I updated data of 2 pairs from the server.
I generated tick data for both pairs.
In history mode I can see two charts.
In testing mode only one chart shows bars, the other chart shows "no data"\

What should I do?

Hello,

It is ok that Forex Tester shows “No Data” in testing mode. It is just the result of the previous test but if you did not do any test before on some currency pairs it will show “No Data”.
You just need to start a new test to replace “No Data” message with quots.

Please see more info here: http://www.forextester.com/testing.html
