copying indicator settings across time frames

#1 Postby Matthew37 » Wed Jan 20, 2010 3:42 pm

would be useful to have some sort of template that you can bring into any time frame. At moment the template is time frame specific. You can change the currency pair in any given time frame and the indicators remain, which is essential of course and that's great.

However, it would be nice if you could duplicate a chart in a different time frame also, and keep all the indicators.

Ta

+ 20 for this

The current system for setting up indicators accross multiple timeframes is really time consuming. It is much simpler to set up one chart and be able to apply that to any timeframe. AT the moment, unless I am doing it wrong, if I am testing a new chart/indicator configuration or tweaking an old one I have to modify each and every timeframe which is a real pita.

Actually it should be as easy as MT4 templates.
Create a chart/indicator templete and apply it to any timeframe any currency.

Is it possible to get some feedback as to whether this will be implemented?
Honestly, the current system is a pain if you use multitimeframe analysis.

We do not have plans to change templates system for now, but we can add feature to indicators when you place it on the chart you will be able to choose on which timeframes you will place it (not only for one). So, for example, you place Moving Average and in dialog window check 5 min, 15min and 1 hour. It will speed up process.

has this been added yet? I use a multitude of moving averages along with two oscillators and it seriously would take me hours to re-enter in the same chart over and over again for every time from of every currency pair I want to test... this is not well known in the demo version because you can't save templates so you think that's the only thing going on.

Sorrrrryyy :). It is ready, but we made lots of updates and tested and tested them to release version 2.6 stable and without bugs. Also updating site and videos and help. If you wish, you can download new version here: http://www.forextester.com/files/Updates/setup.exe before official release.
