Installing ForexTester on an external drive.

I know that FT uses a hardware ID to verify that the program is registered. I was thinking of installing it on an external hard drive. Could I install FT on an external drive, then run it whenever I connected the external drive to my computer? I don't see why not but I thought I'd ask.

Hello,

If you install Forex Tester on external hard drive and you will connect this hard drive to the same machine then Hardware ID should be the same each time and you can use Forex Tester with the same license key.

You can try it by yourself, just install Forex Tester on external hard drive, and conenct it to the computer few times.
And check if you see the same Hardware ID (you can find it in Help -> About program menu) each time.
