Software useless because of this!

When you change time frame or try and zoom in on detail the charts snap back to the beginning making forex tester two impossible to use properly if you are a manual trader.

Because of this reason i will not be recommending the software to any of the customers in my trading room.

Why has the function to stop the charts snapping back to the future not been implemented when it is so obviously important and simple to solve?

Would be great to get some feedback on this finally as there has been none so far in this thread:

Its just such a shame as the software would be made very usable if this simple step was solved

good job otherwise but as i say unusable now for me.

Please say you intend to solve this simple issue.

Yes, we know about this problem. It will be fixed in Forex Tester 3 version which will be released till the end of this year.

I noticed another thread seemed to hint that there might be a charge for existing users to upgrade to V3 ???
Could you please confirm that there won't be such a charge, as a fix for this scrolling/zooming problem was first requested over 4 year ago? I think it would be very unfair on existing customers who have been waiting for a fix for such a long time.

This will be a new program with many new functionalities.

I just bought FT2 and was surprised that I cannot do something like reposition the chart in any direction I want. The auto-scale was annoying, but I read the work-around was to use Fixed Price Range under Scaling in the options menu. This is only turning the original problem into another problem, because the chart is now locked within two price ranges. When I move forward/backward in time, the price goes beyond these limits and I can't do anything to see the candles unless I manually change the settings every time.

If FT3 is out, will owners of FT2 be charged for it, or can this zoom/position issue be a free fix for FT2 owners like myself?

These issues are fixed in a Forex Tester 3 version, you can contact us by email support@forextester.com so we can send you a link to download the Beta version and you can check if it works for you.

As far as I know, there will be an upgrade price from Forex Tester 2 to Forex Tester 3 but I will contact our programmers and ask them to check if this issue can be fixed in a FT2 version.
